Any company is only as good as the team members who make it up.
Here are just a few of the real people in Northeast Ohio who stand to assist you with your computer and IT service needs:
David Doucette
Vice President, Operations
We are proud to say that Dave served our country for 8 years in the US Army, obtaining a rank of Sergeant with several overseas deployments. Though he began at GLC as a Help Desk engineer in 1998 (making him one of our longest tenured employees), Dave is an integral part of the Operations group across various levels, where he currently leads as Operations Manager. In this position, Dave is responsible for all service delivery functions within GLC, helping us to deliver results to our clients.
Debbie Tsiros
Accounting Manager
Debbie has delivered hard work and excellence ever since joining the GLC Accounting Department in 2003, becoming Accounting Manager in 2012. Her motto is “whatever it takes to make it work” since every day brings new challenges and solutions to be found. Though she loves accounting (finding it as entertaining as doing a crossword puzzle she says), she also enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking and hiking, reading and playing games, and going for rides in her husband’s sports cars.
Gerri Kelovsky
Accounting Assistant
Bringing with her 20 years of office experience, Gerri has worked in GLC’s Accounting Department since 2014, working closely with both customers and vendors. Outside of work, she enjoys hanging with friends and family, watching movies, dancing, working out at the gym and attending her son’s drum performances. Some of her favorite things include sunsets, wine, Mickey Mouse and anything purple.
Mandy Martinez
Service Manager
When Mandy joined Great Lakes in 2014, she began as a Contract Administrator. She didn’t waste any time and quickly moved through the ranks to her current position. Mandy oversees the Dispatch Department, all local and overseas customer relations, talent acquisition and logistical aspects of our Maintenance Department. However, adventure is Mandy’s true calling. She has gone from parasailing and swimming with dolphins in the Caribbean to touring European castles and everything in between.
Anthony Chapman
Centralized Services Manager
A true example of upward mobility, Tony started with Great Lakes in November 2005 in the warehouse. His roles over the years included working in the Shipping & Receiving department, Depot Repair department, and then finally the Help Desk, eventually becoming Help Desk Supervisor. Before coming to GLC, he graduated from North Ridgeville High School and attended ITT Tech.
James Shuster
Help Desk Supervisor
After attending Lorain County Community College, Jim started at GLC in 2005 as a Help Desk Technician. He’s grown to become quite an invaluable addition to the Help Desk team over the years, receiving the nickname “Ol’ Reliable”. He’s a great technician and is truly a wizard with our customers. As the old saying goes, “Beware of the quiet ones.”
Steve Mihalic
Network Engineer
With over 15 years of IT Customer Support experience, Steve started at GLC in 2017 as a Network Engineer. His ability to work in a larger environment, maintain all the servers, and take care of all the workstations almost single handedly is a testament to his specific skill set. He graduated from Valley Forge High School and TTI, and always brings a willingness to help in any situation, a wide variety of knowledge and a smile.
Adam Weeks
Field Manager
Adam is the “new guy on the block”. But just because he’s the youngster, (he started with GLC in early 2019), don’t underestimate his powers. Adam is a Network Engineer with over 15 years in the field, he has extensive experience with networking and is a VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV6). Throughout his career he has gained a lot of knowledge in the many areas of IT by learning hands-on.
Gary Pounders
Field Engineer (Central/Southern Ohio)
Joining Great Lakes in 1999, Gary is our Central/Southern Ohio Senior Field Engineer. He brings with him decades of experience in the computer industry and has established excellent relationships with his customers. When Gary isn’t at work, he enjoys working on classic cars and relaxing at home with his family.
Terry Hughes
Senior Field Engineer
Terry comes to us with decades of experience in copier dot matrix thermal laserjet inkjet and wide format printers. He also has many years experience in projector and scanner repair. He specializes in Epson products. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with family, puzzles, computers and travel.
Justin Kresty
Network Engineer
Joining the team in 2020 Justin brings with him over 15 years’ experience in Enterprise IT Support. With a strong skill set in Networking, CompTIA certifications and IT troubleshooting expertise he is a welcomed addition to the team. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time working on projects in the garage, attending his children’s sports activities, and taking nature walks.
Tim Sweeney
Field Engineer
Welcome to the newest member of our Maintenance team. Tim went to Cleveland State and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He may be the newest service tech at GLC, but loves a challenge and learning on the job. Outside of work, Tim loves to see movies, tinkering with computers (he even built his own from parts), and actively tracking/trading on the stock market.
Dan Ondercin
Senior Field Engineer
Servicing all of Northeastern Ohio for GLC since 2000, Dan possesses an exceptional understanding of the equipment he repairs and enjoys sharing his knowledge and mentoring our growing team. Dan lives life to the fullest when he’s not at work, spending his time golfing, fishing and boating on Lake Erie, and performing with his band.
John Semonin
Senior Field Engineer
John is our Akron and Canton area Senior Field Engineer. Since teaming up with Great Lakes in 2006, he has built enduring relationships with his customers, by always taking a moment after his repairs to chat and joke along with them and brighten their day a little. When John has time to unwind, he enjoys his vintage train collection and time with family.
Ryan Cameron
Help Desk Engineer
One of our newer members of the team, Ryan has immersed himself in nearly all aspects of IT for the past 25 years. He must have started working in IT when he was 4 years old!! But he seriously enjoys the problem-solving and troubleshooting aspect of working at the help desk, along with the changing issues and challenges every day presents.
Rick Wackerly
Senior Sales Executive
Rick was recruited to join the GLC Sales team in 2012. At the time, GLC needed strong sales assistance and Rick previously owned and operated a moving company for 35 years, which means he was out there working on a truck every day! Anyone that can do that, plus maintain positive customer relations, was someone we wanted. Rick brings his charm, wit and “gift of gab” to every meeting and he is still keeping his customers happy after all these years.
Logan Homler
Support Engineer
Logan joined the Great Lakes team in early 2020 and has worked in both the dispatch and help desk departments. Even as a young lad, Logan grew up around the IT environment and has always been technically inclined, even offering his help to the IT administrator at his high school. I know… he’s one of those “smart guys”! He’s currently pursuing a degree in Cyber Security at Lorain County Community College and looks forward to bringing his diverse skillset to the help desk.
Mike Sobieski
Help Desk Engineer
Michael joined the Great Lakes help desk in 2023 bringing with him experience and expertise through his years of working in the IT field. Michael first started his IT career in 2007 and has been excelling at his work ever since. Michael is a disabled veteran who served in the US Army and we thank him for his service to our country. In his spare time he collects movies and anime and is currently learning how to play the piano. When he’s not at work Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and two cats.
David Ross
Network Engineer
David has been working in the IT industry since the original 8088 chip was introduced to the public, which was quite some time ago. Throughout the years, working in IT, David has done almost everything from building computers, setting up networks, installing servers and working with phone systems both physical and cloud. Throughout his journey, he has learned a lot from the many people he has worked with. However, David is not done yet and still loves learning about the new technology that comes out, almost daily it seems. When he is not messing around with technology, David loves to cook with his wife and travel with her to new places.
Bob Martin
President
Bob joined the company in 1995, after a 12 year “vacation” working for the Navy in sunny Virginia Beach. Bob graduated with a BSEE from the University of Akron. He has held multiple positions at GLC including Large Account Sales, Sales Manager, VP of Operations, and now serves as President. Although he oversees all operations, Bob’s primary focus is in the areas of sales development, strategic direction, government sales and large account management. Bob spends most of his day driving the Operations Team crazy with his “questions and ideas”.
Jim Manco
CEO/Owner
Before founding GLC, Jim first graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Ashland University, followed by a 10-year career in Sales as one of IBM’s lead revenue generators. Then in 1981, he started the Great Lakes Computer Corporation. He has since watched his company grow and evolve throughout the years, from brokering computer equipment to full-service IT maintenance, Managed Services, Data Security and more. Though he’s not often in the office, don’t count him out. He’s tanned, he’s rested, he’s ready!
