IBM I and Power Series OS400 Upgrade Services

We are also able to offer Operating System release level upgrades. Many companies require their operating systems to be upgraded at some time in their life cycle but often see it as a very daunting task.

In recent years, many business have had to make very hard choices on their head count and as a result may not have the experienced and specific system specialists available any more. This ultimately results in the tasks that need to done being put off or even shelved. Our experienced IBM AS400 specialists can help fill that void.

Our Operating System upgrade service is a 3-step process with only a few mandatory requirements required by us to provide it. Our first step is to check the current condition of the system and liaise with you to confirm that any 3rd Party software running on it is upgrade compatible. Once confident in that, we perform a SAVSYS. Stage 2 is check the  TF levels and ensure that they are all up to date and also update where necessary, then perform a further SAVSYS. The final stage is to perform the Operating System Upgrade install. Once completed, we check the system to ensure that everything is running as it should be.
